The Informatics Engineering Department (DEI), at the Faculty of Engineering – University of Porto, proposes to follow its mission through the following two main issues:

To provide knowledge in computer science, at an international level, in which concerns scientific, technical, ethical and cultural trends;
To promote Research and Development work for the advancement of Computer science and to support good practices on Informatics Engineering activities.
